PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a registration mechanism having high work efficiency in assembly, and capable of smooth sliding operation of a slider connected with a cursor even when warp occurs in a tray. SOLUTION: A guide rail 18a, at an upper portion thereof, includes a guide rrotrusion portion 28 having a protruding shape which gets narrower upward in a cross-sectional shape in a direction intersecting with a longitudinal direction. At a lower side of a slider 17a, the slider includes a guide recessed portion 31 corresponding to the guide protrusion portion 28. When assembling the registration mechanism 2a, the slider 17a is mounted on the guide rail 18a by engaging the guide recessed portion 31 of the slider 17a with the guide protrusion portion 28 of the guide rail 18a from an upper side. The slider 17a is supported in that state and its position becomes stable. Since the slider 17a is merely put on the guide rail 18a from the upper side, the slider smoothly slides without being rubbed strongly with the guide rail 18a even if warp occurs in the tray 8 in a convex state.
