PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbing material regeneration method free of a cumbersome procedure in regenerating an adsorbing material with a large area by securing the area of the adsorbing material without enlarging an apparatus in the air purifying apparatus adsorbing contaminant using the adsorbing material with a photocatalyst material. SOLUTION: The circular cylindrical adsorbing material 12 having adsorbed the contaminant is extracted from the air purifying apparatus 1. The extracted circular cylindrical adsorbing material 12 is transported to a regenerating plant 30 to spread the circular cylindrical adsorbing material 12 in a sheet form in the regenerating plant 30, and the photocatalyst is activated to decompose the adsorbed contaminant. The adsorbing material is generated by irradiating the adsorbing material in the sheet form with an ultraviolet light source 21 or sunlight, and the regenerated adsorbing material in the sheet form is again rounded to form the circular cylindrical adsorbing material 12.
