The device has a container (102) filled with a liquid dispersion. A gas supply is induced for generating foam from the liquid dispersion, and gas (103) is controlled in the liquid dispersion. A unit is provided for determining the level (106) of the produced foam. Two electrodes (105) are provided for time resolved detection of the conductivity of the produced foam.
