<p>It is an object of the present invention to provide an ophthalmic composition which is capable of enhancing a barrier function of a lipid layer which constitutes a tear film, for thereby restricting and curing corneal disorders such as dry eye. It is also an object of the invention to provide the ophthalmic composition with anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects for thereby advantageously preventing and easing corneal/conjunctival disorders such as keratoconjunctivitis. In the present invention, apolipoprotein A-1 is included, as an active ingredient, in the ophthalmic composition.</p> |
