A method and a system for providing payment using a mobile communication terminal are provided to enable a user to perform payment online or offline using the ID number of the mobile communication terminal, thereby providing a simple payment to the user and preventing a leakage of personal information and a loss of a credit card. A method for providing payment using a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: allowing the mobile communication terminal to transmit the terminal ID(Identification) number of the mobile communication terminal to a seller terminal(S202); allowing the seller terminal to transmit the terminal ID number and payment information to a payment service server(S204); allowing the payment service server to generate a payment check message and transmit the payment check message to the mobile communication terminal through a mobile communication network(S206); allowing a user to input a PIN(Personal Identification Number) to the mobile communication terminal for performing authentication for payment(S208); allowing a smart card built in the mobile communication terminal to check the PIN and perform the authentication of the user(S210); allowing the mobile communication terminal to select a financial company for performing payment(S212); allowing the mobile communication terminal to generate a payment request message and transmit the payment request message to the payment service server(S216); allowing the payment service server to request a payment system server to authenticate payment(S218); allowing the payment system server to authenticate a payment and transmit the authenticate result to the payment service server(S220); and allowing the payment service server to transmit an authenticate result message to the mobile communication terminal and the seller terminal(S222,S224).
