A flavouring composition for use in an oral care product, confectionary p roduct or beverage comprises an antimicrobial key and optionally at least on e flavouring ingredient of current use, wherein the antimicrobial key compri ses 3,4-dimethylphenol together with one or more antimicrobial flavour ingre dients each having a minimum inhibitory concentration of 1000 parts per mill ion or less, against two or more strains selected from Fusobacterium Nucleat um, Fusobacterium sp., Porphyromonas Gingivalis, Prevotella Intermedia, Kleb siella Pneumoniae, Veillonella Alcalescens, Bacteroides Melaninogenicus/fors ythus, Selenomonas Sputagena, Porphyromonas Endodontalis, Prevotella Melanin ogenica and Streptococcus Mutans. |
