A method for notifying event information using a navigation is provided to allow a driver to enjoy travel or vacation by providing the driver with event information. A method for notifying event information using a navigation includes the steps of: comparing the position of a driver and the position of an event stored in the navigation(S110); comparing the current time and the time the event will happen(S120); providing the driver with the event information(S130); setting the event information to be provided even if the current time or position and the event time or position do not match(S140); asking the user if the position of the event is set to be a pass-by spot(S150); and setting the event position as the pass-by spot(S160,S170).
