<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicast broadcast receiving terminal and a multicast broadcast relay apparatus, capable of reducing the load on a network by suppressing distribution of multicast packets of an unwanted channel. <P>SOLUTION: The multicast broadcast receiving terminal is provided with a channel change request detector 11 for monitoring a request of changing a channel and detecting a change request channel indicating the changed channel. A communication control section 14 monitors a change in the change request channel detected by the channel change request detector 11.
