PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide particles for a display medium achieving both of improvement in heat resistance and securement of amount of electric charge by using a mixture monomer prepared by mixing hydrocarbon-based monomers and crosslinking monomers in a predetermined weight ratio. SOLUTION: The particles for a display medium, the particles constituting a display medium of an information display panel to display information by moving the display medium sealed between substrates by imparting an electric field to the medium, comprise polymer particles which are approximately spherical and obtained by a wet method and which contain a binder resin, a colorant and a copolymer of an acrylic monomer and a hydrocarbon-based monomer or a copolymer of an acrylic monomer and a fluorine-containing acrylic monomer. The polymer particles have fine projections and recesses uniformly present on the surfaces. The binder resin is obtained by polymerizing a mixture monomer of hydrocarbon-based monomers and crosslinking monomers in a weight ratio of 85:15 to 35:65.
