PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably and efficiently producing a double glass structure having the peripheral portion which is sealed so that external air or steam does not penetrate into an internal space and an enclosed gas, such as an inert gas, does not leak from the internal space. SOLUTION: In the production method, the margin between substrates composed of two glass substrates facing each other while maintaining a predetermined spacing is coated with a sealing resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin (A) and a filler (B) and sealed, thus producing a double glass structure of which the internal space is depressurized or filled with an inert gas atmosphere. In a case when the thermoplastic resin composition (A) satisfies the condition: Tmp-Tcp>40°C (Tmp is the main endothermic peak temperature obtained when the melting temperature of thermoplastic resin (A) is measured with a differential scanning calorimeter; and Tcp is the main exothermic peak temperature obtained when the crystallization temperature is measured), the two glass substrates are uniformly kept at a temperature of -5≤Tmp≤5°C when the peripheral part of the glass substrates is coated with the sealing resin composition.
