<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable printing document editing system allowing easy identification of trouble in a layout, and allowing correction thereof. <P>SOLUTION: In this variable printing document editing system, component data including field item data and information for specifying a transmitted field item are received, maximum character number information in each the field item of the component data is measured, a character frame associated with the field item is laid out, and characters corresponding to the measured maximum character number information of the field item are disposed and displayed in the character frame associated to the field item. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
