URETHANE ELASTOMER-FORMING COMPOSITION COMPOSED OF URETHANE PREPOLYMER OBTAINED BY USING 2,4'-MDI AS PRINCIPAL COMPONENT

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new composition capable of forming a highly safe thermosetting urethane elastomer having high hardness and good heat resistance characteristics (E'100/E'200) required in engineering uses such as parts or members composing industrial machines.

SOLUTION: An MDI prepolymer having a low viscosity and gentle reactivity can be synthesized by composing a principal ingredient of the diphenylmethane diisocyanate containing ≥95 mass% of 2,4'-MDI and a polyol. Furthermore, the environment-friendly casting elastomer having excellent mechanical properties and heat resistance can be obtained by using a chlorine-free aromatic diamine as a curing agent.
