<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where each rotary wheel provided with many slits rotating in connection with rotary bodies is inserted into a gap for reading for each sensor detecting the slits, where the rotational speed of the rotary bodies or the like are measured, and where the sticking of grease or the like to the slits of the rotary wheel is prevented. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus where each rotary wheel 31 provided with many slits rotating in connection with rotational bodies is inserted into a gap 32a for reading for each sensor 32 detecting the above slits, and the rotation of the rotary bodies is measured by an encoder 30, there is provided a shielding member 44 for performing shielding in such a manner that at least a part of the outer circumferential side of the rotary wheel is surrounded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
