ROAD-VEHICLE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, OPTICAL BEACON TO BE USED FOR THE SAME, IN-VEHICLE UNIT AND VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road-vehicle communication system for reducing a communication error to be generated due to the incidence of sunlight.

SOLUTION: This road-vehicle communication system is provided with an on-vehicle unit 2 of a vehicle C traveling on a road and a plurality of optical beacons 4 which are respectively provided with a light emitter/receiver 8 to be serviced within a predetermined range of a road, and configured to perform two-way communication based on an optical signal between the on-vehicle unit 2 and the optical beacons 4. The plurality of optical beacons 4 of the road-vehicle communication system include the optical beacon 4 having the light emitter/receiver 8 to be serviced at a position where the light reception of up-link rays of light is hardly disturbed due to the influence of the reflection of sunlight or the like.
