<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that the printing amount of a printing job newly desired to be printed is not considered when deciding whether the printing amount exceeds an upper limit value based on a printed result value showing that printing has been already performed, so that the printing amount exceeds the upper limit during printing, and to solve a problem that the conventional system can not meet a user's demand that the user does not want to perform printing if printing is interrupted during printing even though the problem that the printing amount exceeds the upper limit during printing is cleared. <P>SOLUTION: When a threshold is set and the number of printed result sheets exceeds the threshold, output processing of the printing job to a recording medium is temporarily stopped in a device. Printing is canceled if the printing amount exceeds the upper limit, and printing the job (output processing) is restarted if it does not exceed the upper limit when the number of sheets is decided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
