<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where recording paper can be sufficiently cooled after fixing and both sides printing is possible at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 has: a transferring device transferring an image formed with a developer to recording paper S; a fixing device 7 heating the recording paper S and melting the transferred developer, so as to be fixed; an exhaust port 12 opening to the upper part of a paper output tray 13 for outputting the recording paper S fixed with the developer to the paper output tray 13; a reverse carrier passage 17 reversing the recording paper S fixed with the developer, so as to be fed to the transferring device; and a reverse port 15 opening to the upper part of the exhaust port 12 for exposing part of the recording paper S to the upper part of the paper output tray 13 and returning the same, so as to be introduced into the reverse carrier passage 17. The apparatus 1 is provided with a cooling unit 18 projectingly provided from the space between the exhaust port 12 and the reverse port 15 toward the upper part of the paper output tray 13 and having a cooling fan 20 sucking the air in the upper part and feeding-out the same to the lower part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
