<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling a motor, by which an operation range of the motor at low-temperature times can be expanded. <P>SOLUTION: The device 11 for controlling a motor 10 uses an inverter device 12, equipped with a capacitor 20 on the input side of an inverter circuit 16 to perform control. The inverter device 12 includes an input voltage detecting means 22 for detecting the surge voltage, generated from the ESR of the capacitor 20 and an input voltage peak value outputting means 23. A control unit 13 includes a CPU 21 and the CPU 21 functions, as a means for determining an initial allowable motor current value to be supplied to the motor 10, at the starting of control. The CPU 21 also functions as a calculating means for calculating the maximum allowable motor current value, based on the surge voltage and the actual motor current flowing into the motor 10, and as a control means for controlling switching elements Q1 to Q6 so that the allowed motor current value will not exceed the maximum allowed motor current value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
