<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source device in which deterioration of luminance uniformity originating from a high luminance portion (bright lines) appearing along the corner parts of a groove housing the light source lamp can be surely prevented without giving a disadvantage to downsizing of the surface light source device and causing a possibility of deterioration of the luminance of the whole light-emitting face of a light guide plate. <P>SOLUTION: The surface light source device is provided with a light guide plate 11 in which one face is made a light-emitting face 12, the opposite face of the light-emitting face is made a reflecting face 14, and a diffusion reflection surface or a semi-transmission reflection surface 13 is arranged as a diffusion reflecting means or a semi-transmission reflecting means on an upper part of the groove which houses a linear or rod-shape light source 21. The light source 21 is arranged at the central part in the groove, and a lamp reflector 31 is installed so as to reflect the light from the light source 21 at the aperture of the groove, the light from the light source is made to enter directly from the side face 15 of the groove or enter from the side face 15 of the groove by diffusing and reflecting at the diffusion reflection surface or the semi-transmission reflection surface 13 and the lamp reflector 31, and the light incident into the light guide plate 11 is reflected by the diffusion reflection surface or semi-transmission reflection surface 13, thereby the light-emitting face 12 side is made to emit light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
