PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a fiber reinforced resin capable of preventing the occurrence of a surface flaw such as a pinhole or the like tend to form at the position corresponding to the edge part of a core material in the production of the fiber reinforced resin using a reinforcing fiber base material having the core material, and the fiber reinforced resin manufactured by this manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the fiber reinforced resin by arranging the reinforcing fiber base material having the core material in a substantially hermetically closed space (e.g., the cavity of a mold) and injecting a resin to impregnate the reinforcing fiber base material before curing, at least one end part of the core material in the reinforcing fiber base material is impregnated with the resin in a state that a resin flow base material with a resin impregnation coefficient of 1×10<SP>-10</SP>m<SP>2</SP>or above is arranged along the edge part of core material at least in a width of 10 mm or above.
