PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable battery having no possibility that a positive electrode lead and a groove section of a bottomed case contact each other to cause an internal short circuit even when excessive vibration and shock are applied to the battery. SOLUTION: In the battery, the upper insulating plate 4 is arranged at the lower part of a groove section 3 installed so as to protrude throughout the whole circumference of the inner circumferential face of the upper part of a bottomed case 2, and a gasket 8 is arranged at the upper part of this groove section 3. A fixing support part 6 to fix and support the lower end part of the gasket 8 is provided at the outer circumference part of the upper side of the upper insulating plate 4.
