<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of cultivating baby leaf vegetables, which prevents diseases of the baby leaf vegetables by preventing bending of the stems and leaves of the same to accelerate sunlight irradiation and air circulation to the stems, leaves, and culture soil, enables growth of the healthy baby leaves, and allows the worker to harvest only true leaves of good quality in a short time without requiring double-pruning by simple manual work, and to provide a cultivation tray for use in the method. <P>SOLUTION: The cultivation tray is formed of a base tray, an auxiliary tray, and a lid. The auxiliary tray and the lid are superposed on the base tray in this order, and seed leaves of the baby leaf vegetables planted in the culture soil in the base tray are made to stay within the auxiliary tray. Thus true leaves grow through openings formed in the auxiliary tray and the lid, and at the time of harvest, a close contact surface between the auxiliary tray and the lid is slightly released so as to form a cutting surface, to thereby facilitate harvesting work. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
