<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent scattering of toner without impairing operability for withdrawing a container main body from a developing device. <P>SOLUTION: In order to supply developer to the rotary type developing device 20 disposed in a printer 10, the toner container 30 is freely removably attached to a seating unit 40, which is a component element of the rotary type developing device 20. The image forming apparatus includes: the container main body 31 having a developer discharging opening 316a made in the bottom of the container filled with the developer; a container side shutter member 34 for opening and closing the developer discharging opening 316a by inserting/withdrawing the container main body 31 into/from the seating unit 40 in the direction of insertion or withdrawal; and a load application means 35 for applying load for the detaching operation in the course of withdrawing the container body 31 from the seating unit 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
