PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device and a monitoring method for an air conditioning facility capable of ranking facility improvement in response to degrees of problems, and capable of notifying a problem frequently occurring state at an early stage. SOLUTION: The monitoring device 1 of the air conditioning facility is a monitoring device monitoring an air conditioning facility provided with plural indoor units 2. The monitoring device 1 is provided with a temperature divergence determining means 4, an indoor unit determining means 5, and a facility improvement information output means 6. The temperature divergence determining means 4 determines a temperature divergence being a divergence between a set temperature and an indoor temperature in the plural indoor units 2. The indoor unit determining means 5 determines at least one indoor unit 2 with high priority of facility improvement to carry out ranking on the basis of temperature divergence information relevant to the temperature divergence. The facility improvement information output means 6 outputs facility improvement information relevant to at least the indoor unit 2 with high priority of facility improvement.
