PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of data backup, to improve the reliability of a game machine. SOLUTION: In the game machine provided with a game controller for outputting control information and a discharge controller for controlling the discharge of game balls of a discharge device on the basis of the control information from the game controller, when returning from a power failure, a variable display device is made to perform power failure restoration reporting for reporting restoration from the power failure by a display controller until time is up for a monitoring timer, and also judgement processing is newly executed. When establishing detected abnormality by the newly executed judgement processing, the variable display device performs abnormality reporting for reporting the established abnormality by the display controller.
