A pedestal washer and a method for controlling the same are provided to wash a small amount of laundry without operating a whole washer. A pedestal washer(100) comprises a case(110), an outer tub(140), a rotating member, a rotary shaft, a bearing housing, a flexible sealing member(144), and an upper frame(121). The case supports other elements of a washer. The outer tub is fixed to a drawer of the case and stores water. The rotating member rotates in the outer tub to agitate laundry. The rotary shaft transmits rotational force of a motor to the rotating member. The bearing housing supports the rotary shaft. The flexible sealing member is connected between the bearing housing and the outer tub. The upper frame is integrally formed with the outer tub, covering at least a part of the drawer of the case. |
