Top end stops for slide fastener in which front ends of its fastener chains are opened and no wrinkle is produced by a diamond of a slider, wherein a top end stop (1) is molded with resin such that it includes a notch portion (5) provided on an edge portion (4) of a pair of fastener tapes (2) and the top end stop (1) is formed on a top face of the notch portion; the top end stop (1) is formed at an end portion of a coupling element (12) row with a gap from the coupling element (12), and a concave portion (6) is formed to allow a diamond (24) of a slider (20) to escape; and an overlapping portion (3) that a coupling head (13) of a mating coupling element (12) is capable of joining is formed at a bottom end of one of the top end stops (1), whereby the fastener chain can be closed completely by a slider (20), so that specified waterproof property and water cutout performance are secured. |
