<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encryption method and a decryption method that allow improvement in safety while enhancing convenience by simplifying generation of a self-decrypting encrypted file on the transmission side and decryption of the self-decrypting encrypted file on the reception side. <P>SOLUTION: The encryption method and the decryption method are composed as follows. Information, which is required for generating the self-decrypting encrypted file with a reception-side PC 20, identity authentication information, information of a person authorized to execute processing, equipment authentication information, and extension information are encrypted and made as a decryption destination certificate beforehand so as to transmit it to the transmission side. A transmission-side PC 10 generates and outputs the self-decrypting encrypted file including a decryption program, a header multistagedly encrypted with different encryption keys, and encrypted data by utilizing the decryption destination certificate so as to deliver or transmit it. The reception-side PC 20 executes identity authentication, authentication of a person authorized to execute processing, and equipment authentication corresponding to contents of the decrypted header so as to allow a specific receiver to execute self-decryption processing of the encrypted data only when the identity of a person is authenticated and the person is a person authorized to execute processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
