<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED driver which makes it easy to suppress the useless consumption of electric power as far as possible and to protect the permissible dissipation of a constant current circuit while employing a constant current driving system using the constant current circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The LED driver supplies electric power to a single LED or an LED group constituted by serially connecting a plurality of LEDs. The LED driver includes a constant current circuit section which is serially connected to the LED group and adjusts the circuit flowing in itself to a prescribed value, and a voltage adjustment section which is serially connected to the prescribed current circuit section and adjusts the voltage by a switching regulator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
