<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an improvement in shape of a rectangular bottle solve the problem that the buckling of a corner wall functioning as a column portion associated with a decompression absorbing panel is caused when the rectangular bottle is thin-walled. <P>SOLUTION: This rectangular bottle has a body portion with a rectangular plane cross section, which is composed of four flat plate-like peripheral walls and four corner walls for connecting the peripheral walls together in a chamfered manner. In the rectangular bottle, the decompression absorbing panel, which is formed in a depressed shape, is arranged on the peripheral walls. In a boundary portion between the peripheral wall and the corner wall, adjacent to each other, a vertical rib like a vertical groove is formed at least almost within a height range along right and left side ends of the main decompression absorbing panel, and many horizontal ribs like horizontal grooves are formed in a juxtaposed manner within the height range of the corner wall. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
