Disclosed is a mechanical component assembly (10, 12, 14) comprising a driving component (12) that has first teeth (16) and a driven component (14) which has second teeth (18). The first and second teeth (16, 18) mesh with each other. The driving component (12) drives the driven component (14) in at least one predefined driving direction (42). Means (30) are provided for reducing noise generated by the backlash (60) between the two sets of teeth (16, 18) in the driving direction (42). Said noise reducing means (30) encompass first force transmitting means (32) that are mounted on one (12) of the two components (12, 14) as well as second force transmitting means (34) which are mounted on the other component (14). The first and the second force transmitting means (32, 34) engage with one another outside the teeth (16, 18) in such a way that an elastic cushioning force which acts against the predefined driving direction (42) can be transmitted between the first and second force transmitting means (32, 34). |
