The invention relates to a bearing ball (1) of a rolling element bearing having an outer ring and an inner ring, between which a plurality of bearing balls are arranged. At least one of the bearing balls (1) has a spherical solid steel body (2) comprising an axial cylindrical bore (3) into which an insert (5) is coaxially inserted. In order to obtain a bearing ball with improved slippage properties, a cylindrical sleeve (5) is pressed into the cylindrical bore (3) as the insert (5), the peripheral surface (6) of said sleeve resting entirely on the cylindrical bore wall (4) of the bearing ball (4), the initial diameter of the sleeve (5) being greater than the bore diameter. |
