PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system that enables a user to communicate with an intercom slave unit even at a place where he or she has gone out. SOLUTION: When a mobile phone terminal 3 does not answer by a wireless communication function, a master unit control part 14 of a master unit 1 dials the telephone number of the mobile telephone terminal 3 from a line I/F part 16 to a subscriber telephone network N1. When the mobile phone terminal 3 answers the dial origination, a line is established between the line I/F part 16 of the master unit 1 and the mobile phone terminal 3 through the subscriber telephone network N1 and a mobile phone network N2. Consequently, the user can communicate with the door intercom slave unit 2 by using the mobile phone terminal 3 at the place where he or she has gone out, so that usability is improved.
