METHOD OF CLEANING PCB-CONTAMINATED TRANSFORMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of cleaning a PCB-contaminated transformer which can efficiently clean a transformer contaminated by PCB and can suppress ignition while carrying out the cleaning. SOLUTION: The method of cleaning a PCB-contaminated transformer is to pour an oil which does not contain polychlorinated biphenyl or whose concentration of polychlorinated biphenyl is within a regulated (reference) range into the PCB-contaminated transformer contaminated by polychlorinated biphenyl to clean the transformer by circulating the oil, wherein a heating process is included for heating the oil so that the temperature of the poured oil is kept at 40 to 90°C.
