METHOD FOR PERFORMING RANDOM ACCESS BASED ON PRIORITY

A method for performing random access in consideration of priority in a mobile communication system is provided to enable a BS to allocate a dedicated domain to a user with high priority dynamically, thereby obtaining the transmission delay performance of the user with high priority. A method for performing random access in consideration of priority in a mobile communication system comprises the following steps of: determining the size of a dedicated domain and a start point for users with high priority and allocating the dedicated domain to terminals(S410); allowing each terminal to check whether there is a transmission packet in a transmission buffer(S420); determining whether a wireless section for random access corresponds to the dedicated domain if there is the transmission packet(S430); if not, allowing the each terminal to attempt random access to a BS regardless of priority(S470); checking whether the terminal is a user terminal with high priority if the wireless section is the dedicated domain(S440); acquiring access permission probability previously transferred from the BS if the terminal is not the user terminal with high priority(S450); checking whether the terminal have access permission to the dedicated domain(S460); and allowing a user terminal with low priority to attempt random access to the BS using the dedicated domain.
