A multi-layer structure with a gas barrier layer of which the oxygen permeation coefficient under a wet and heated condition is suppressed to be of a low value while maintaining excellent workability and mechanical strength. The multi-layer structure has a gas barrier layer with excellent gas barrier property, the gas barrier layer comprising a resin composition obtained by blending a thermoplastic resin having an oxygen permeation coefficient at 20 DEG C and 0%RH of not larger than 10<-12> cc.cm/cm<2>/sec/cmHg with a transition metal catalyst and an oxidizing organic component, said oxidizing organic component having an average diameter of dispersed particles of not larger than 1 mu m as found by an area method in cross section of said gas barrier layer in the direction of thickness thereof, and an area ratio occupied by the dispersed particles being not smaller than 1% in cross section of said gas barrier layer in the direction of thickness thereof. <IMAGE> |
