PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to respond to requests of holding tones which a user who introduces a system desires to make a held partner listen to and which the held partner desires to listen to since the holding tones depend on a device manufacturer in a telephone system of a client server model constituted by combining a plurality of manufacturer devices. SOLUTION: A telephone call partner is transferred and connected to a holding sound source terminal 500 using a calling function, a call termination function and a transfer function of a telephone 400 used in a general telephone system 1000. Also when the holding is released, the holding is released by transfer control from the holding sound source terminal 500 after connecting to the holding sound source terminal 500 to which the next held telephone 400-2 is connected from a telephone 400-1 whose holding is desired to be released.
