PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in discharge voltage of a plasma display panel. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel 1 has an inner adhesive ring 41 surrounding a gap between first/second substrates 11, 21 and an outer adhesive ring 42 surrounding the inner adhesive ring 41. A discharge gas is doubly sealed by the inner adhesive ring 41 and the outer adhesive ring 42 so as to prevent moisture in the air from entering into the plasma display panel. A moisture absorbent 45 is arranged between the inner adhesive ring 41 and the outer adhesive ring 42 in order to capture moisture by the moisture absorbent 45. In this way, moisture is prevented from entering into the inside of the plasma display panel 1. Consequently, it is possible to suppress an increase in discharge voltage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
