<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic detector with the resistance value and temperature coefficient of a fixed resistance element caused particularly simply and appropriately to accord with the resistance value R and temperature coefficient TCR of a magnetoresistive element. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetoresistive element 10 and the fixed resistance element 20 are formed out of layered bodies 16 similar to each other. Hard bias layers 17 and 18 are formed on both sides of the resistance element 20 with a space T1 left between them. In the resistance element 20, a second magnetic layer 14 corresponding to a free magnetic layer 14 of the element 10 is magnetized/fixed under a bias magnetic field from the bias layers 17 and 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
