PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet apparatus which enables a switching device for changing kinds of liquid supplied to a liquid jet head to be made compact. SOLUTION: The switching device 25 of the ink-jet printer is equipped with a first connecting path which supplies a photo black ink, a second connecting path which supplies a mat black ink, a first through hole which makes a junction of downstream ends of the first connecting path and the second connecting path communicate with a recording head side, a first opening and closing valve 47 which opens and closes the first connecting path, a second opening and closing valve 48 which opens and closes the second connecting path, a rotary type plate cam 71 which pivots when the ink is changed over between the photo black ink and the mat black ink, and a first acting plate 73 and a second acting plate 72 which act to open and close the first valve 47 and the second valve 48 so as to open either one of the first valve 47 and the second valve 48 and to close the other when driven following the rotary driving of the plate cam 71.
