PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of carrying out an oil supply work smoothly by injecting liquid fuel smoothly into a saddle-shape fuel tank. SOLUTION: The fuel tank device 10 for a vehicle comprises a saddle-shape fuel tank which is divided into a first fuel chamber 23, a second fuel chamber 24, and a communication chamber 25 which communicates with the first fuel chamber and the second fuel chamber, with a raised bottom at its center. A breather passage 52 is extended from the communication chamber outwardly. An inlet of the breather passage 52 is disposed to detect a level of the liquid fuel 83 to stop further fuel injection, when the injected liquid fuel 83 increases to a certain level. A baffle plate 81 is provided to prevent the inlet of the breather passage 52 from being closed due to the liquid fuel 83 directly hitting the inlet of the breather passage 52, when the liquid fuel 83 entering from the first fuel chamber 23 into the second fuel chamber 24 exceeds a top portion of a bulge.
