PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flexibility of arrangement of a member arranged near a lens barrel 6 by making the dimension of a cam barrel along an optical axis direction smaller. SOLUTION: The first cam follower 46 of a first lens group 21 and the second cam follower 56 of a second lens group 22 are engaged with a first cam groove 71 and a second cam barrel 72 which are formed in the cam barrel 25. The first lens group 21 and the second lens group 22 are moved accompanying rotation of the cam barrel 25. The first cam groove 71 and the second cam barrel 72 are arranged side by side in a peripheral direction. The dimension D of the cam barrel 25 in a direction along an optical axis O can be made smaller than that in such a configuration that these cam grooves 71 and 72 are arranged along the direction of the optical axis O.
