PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter device and its installation method capable of installing the filter device used as a blow-off filter and the like installed on a ceiling and a wall of a clean room without taking much labor-hour in installation work while improving working efficiency. SOLUTION: This filter device 10 comprises a filter unit 40 composed of a filter element 30 and a filter frame 20, and a duct 60 connected with the filter unit 40, the filter frame 20 is formed by connecting frame pieces 21 formed by extrusion molding, and has a mounting structure 50 for detachably mounting the filter element 30, and a face of a side wall 22a of a connecting portion 20a of the filter frame 20 and a face of a wall 61 of a connecting portion of the duct 60 are connected in a state of being overlapped to each other.
