The present application is directed to additive package compositions including a diluent; a hydrocarbyl substituted triazole compound; and an amide formed by reacting an amine compound chosen from guanidines, ureas and thioureas with a C<SUB>5 </SUB>to C<SUB>60 </SUB>aliphatic carboxylic acid, with the proviso that the triazole compound is not an alkyl bis-3-amino-1,2,4-triazole or an oleyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-amine. Lubricant compositions and methods of employing the lubricant compositions are also disclosed.
