<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete method, device and program for verifying printed matter. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for verifying printed matter where at least some of the drawing lines contained in a line drawing are replaced by parting drawing lines to embed information therein includes a reading part M1 for reading the line drawing and outputting image data, and a computing part for verifying the printed matter and outputting the result of the verification by Fourier transforming the image data to create an FFT pattern, then calculating, along a plurality of angle directions, frequency intensities with respect to the distance from a center along a certain angle direction from the centers of horizontal and vertical axes in the FFT pattern, averaging the plurality of frequency intensities calculated to calculate the average value of the frequency intensities with respect to the center from the distance, extracting a plurality of intensity peak values contained in the average value of the frequency intensities with respect to the distance from the center, calculating a first reciprocal-space distance based on the plurality of intensity peak values, and comparing the first reciprocal-space distance to a second reciprocal-space distance obtained from authentic printed matter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
