<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel-cell power generator and its control method/control program that prevent breakage of power generation cells while suppressing temperature changes in a fuel-cell module. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel-cell power generator is at least provided with a fuel-cell stack 3 composed by laminating power generation cells while sandwiching each separator between the power generation cells, a means for supplying a fuel gas or an oxidant gas or the like, a switching means 11 that switches paths for outputting power, an inverter 12 connected to a first path of the switching means 11 while being linked with a power system and an external load, a power consumption means 13 connected to a second path of the switching means 11 so as to consume power, and a control means 5 for executing switching control of the paths of the switching means. When detecting a power failure of the power system or disconnection of the external load, the control means 5 switches the output to the second path so as to consume power by converting it into heat or the like while maintaining power generation conditions at an almost constant level.
