<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a large capacity and excellent discharge characteristics, with safety secured in charged state. <P>SOLUTION: The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided with a positive electrode using a positive electrode material which contains three kinds of a nickel-based lithium compound oxide as expressed by a general formula: Li<SB>a</SB>Ni<SB>(1-x-y)</SB>Co<SB>x</SB>M1<SB>y</SB>O<SB>2</SB>, a cobalt-based lithium compound oxide as expressed by a general formula: Li<SB>b</SB>Co<SB>(1-s)</SB>M2<SB>s</SB>O<SB>2</SB>, and a nickel-cobalt-manganese-based lithium compound oxide as expressed by a general formula: Li<SB>c</SB>Mn<SB>t</SB>Ni<SB>u</SB>Co<SB>v</SB>M3<SB>w</SB>O<SB>2</SB>, and in which the ratio occupied by the nickel-based lithium compound oxide is 10 mass% or more and 60 mass% or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
