<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunction device wherein settings associated with a use environment need to be made for both a main body section and a unit for function extension, the multifunction device eliminating the need for complicated component management/manufacturing step management during the manufacture thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The multifunction device is configured to start operating in an inspection mode which is an operation mode wherein various inspections can be performed and an operation mode wherein inspection completion information is stored in a nonvolatile storage means when prescribed operation is performed on a console panel even when the inspection completion information is not stored in the nonvolatile storage means (step S101: NO) at any time (even if settings made for the device itself are different from settings made for the unit for function extension connected to the device). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
