PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightning surge protector for surely blocking a lightning surge entering from a power supply line and a network communication line to a terminal device. SOLUTION: The lightning surge protector 1 has one set of a lightning protection transformer Ta used for a power supply and interrupting the lightning surge and an insulation transformer Tb used for a communication and interrupting the lightning surge in a common housing 10 for accommodating and juxtaposing them. The lightning protection transformer Ta used for the power supply is an insulation transformer for interrupting the lightning surge from the external power supply line 5 to the terminal device 2, and supplying AC power. The insulation transformer Tb used for the communication is an insulation transformer for interrupting the lightning surge from the external networked communication line 6 to the terminal device 2, and selectively passing a high frequency data signal. Both transformers built in the housing 10 do not need a grounding construction. The lightning surge protectors 1 are respectively provided in a plurality of the terminal devices 2, and implement a countermeasure against the lightning surge in each terminal device.
