PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new, inexpensive and stable lymphocyte-increasing agent for increasing the lymphocyte count in peripheral blood. SOLUTION: The present invention provides a lymphocyte-increasing agent and an immunopotentiator each containing glutamic acid or its salt as an active ingredient. Since glutamic acid or a salt thereof is not toxic and is free of side effects, it is safe, can be presented in the form of food, and is suitable for application to the elderly and subjects with reduced resistance.
