PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing an alcohol exchange reaction of an alkoxysilane and an oxetane alcohol in a high yield and producing a polyfunctional oxetane having a low viscosity and faint color and to provide an industrially advantageous method for the production of a polyfunctional oxetane exhibiting excellent dimensional stability in a state of a cured product of a composition containing the oxetane by reducing the residual quantity of an alkoxyl group of the obtained polyfunctional oxetane. SOLUTION: The method for producing a polyfunctional oxetane comprises the reaction of an alkoxysilane with an oxetane expressed by formula (3) in the presence of an alcohol exchange catalyst, wherein the ratio of the catalyst is set to 5-1,500 wt. ppm based on the weight of the oxetane expressed by formula (3).
